I cannot recommend Gentle Sleep Pet Services highly enough. From our very first contact, Modou was kind, compassionate, and deeply understanding of our wishes to ease the suffering of our beautiful boxer, Daphne. At nearly 11 years old, she had developed an autoimmune disease, and we knew it was time to let her go peacefully. Modou arrived promptly—which meant a lot on what felt like the longest day ever—and gently guided us through the process. He explained everything with care and reassured us that it would be a gentle, restful last sleep for our girl. His calm and respectful approach helped Daphne remain at ease throughout, and she passed in the most peaceful way possible at home surrounded by her family—exactly what we had hoped for our beloved fur baby. Both my wife and I were so grateful for the space Modou gave us to ask questions, share our feelings, and spend precious last moments with Daphne before saying goodbye. His experience, empathy, and understanding made an incredibly difficult day far less traumatic, and we will always be thankful for the way he supported us and cared for Daphne throughout. Kind Regards

We came across the Gentle Sleep Vet following a recommendation from a friend who had used their services. Having an indoor Bengal cat who was so distraught when we visited the vet, we always knew when the time came, we wanted him to be at home where he felt safe. We contacted Modou when our cat Humphrey began to show signs of significant deterioration and had a consultation over the phone. Modou was approachable and understanding, and we arranged the visit after agreeing euthanasia was the appropriate course. We sat with Humphrey on the sofa, fire on, window open so he could hear the birds. Modou came and was so respectful of us, our home, and the situation. He reaffirmed everything with us, answered any questions we had, and reiterated the procedure before gaining consent. He explained what would happen clearly and what to expect. Humphrey was given a sedative, which he didn't fight (he usually did so we knew it was the right time) and Modou gave us some time with him before administering the anesthetic. He was extremely gentle with Humphrey, and us, and sensitive to the situation. Humphrey passed peacefully cuddled up on the sofa with the people that loved him most in the world. It was a privilege to be able to give him that comfort in his final moments, surrounded by familiarity and calm rather than a sterile and stressful veterinary surgery. We were all treated with dignity and respect. I cannot thank or recommend Modou enough.

Saying goodbye to your dog is never easy specifically when we see them declining and suffering. I called Modou (the vet ) in a complete distress as the night was approaching and my dog's condition was severely declining. He communicated with compassion and understanding. Communication and nessesary forms were dealt with promptly. In that difficult moment he explained to us every step and what was going to happen. The time was given to say goodbye on our terms and with full respect. All went so calmly and peacefully for our beloved dog. This is the vet who understands people love animals and are grieving in the moment when time comes to say final farewell to our furry friends. Thank you.
